Cobh is a fantastic holiday destination and an ideal base for touring County Cork. The town has a lot of history and was the departure point for many people bound for America during the Great Irish Famine. The Queenstown Story (Cobh was once called Queenstown) is well worth a visit. The town is also well known for its lively pubs and gourmet restaurants and the surrounding area is perfect for the golf enthusiast, the keen angler or indeed for those who love walking.
Directions
From N25 Junction, take the R624 past Fota . Cross bridge and turn right until the dockyard. Past Dockyard is StatOil garage, turn left then first right
